Originally from Germany, I have been teaching and studying  yoga for over 23 years. With over 1,700 hours of formal training, I have a strong foundation in both classical yoga teachings and innovative therapeutic techniques. I am certified as a Yoga Therapist by the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) and by the Phoenix Rising School of Yoga Therapy.
I was also trained and certified as a Stress Management Educator, a Shiatsu and a Reiki II Practitioner.
Personally and in my work I draw inspiration from
the richness of the yogic traditions, Western Psychology, the latest understanding of Neuroscience, and the work of Dr. Gabor Mate and Erich Fromm.

I have had the pleasure of working with Claudia for over a year and one half to help me deal with the effects of severe trauma.  While I had an excellent psychotherapist, intellectual understanding of my situation was not sufficient to address the physical and emotional manifestations of trauma.  They included insomnia, muscle tightness, heart problems, exhaustion, low energy levels, anxiety, etc.  Working with Claudia  and the method of Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy has been extremely effective for me.  It has allowed me to face difficult situations resulting from my trauma with newfound strength, dignity and inner calm.  Claudia has been a life saver in so many ways.  Claudia is first and foremost a very compassionate woman but also highly trained and skilled. I was continually amazed during each session at her ability to respond to my immediate issues in ways that helped me to release deep holdings. In addition to decreasing the effects of trauma, I discovered new and interesting things about myself as my sessions and responses evolved. Claudia has excellent insights into the human condition and responded most sensitively to my concerns and emotional difficulties.  At all times during our work together, I felt held and cared for at a very deep level.  Thanks to our wonderful work together, I feel more at home in my body and have an increased understanding about my life situation.  I feel more whole, as my body, mind and spirit are more integrated.  Most of my trauma response has been greatly reduced or eliminated.   I highly recommend Claudia's work to anyone seeking to better understand their emotional problems by focusing on the way these issues show up in the body and learning to face them, work through them and ultimately release them.

Claudia is a very warm and approachable person and what sets her apart is her holistic approach to healing - combining the physical body, the mind and the emotions. The depth of her knowledge in all of these aspects plus her attention to detail during the guided practices have helped reduce my neck and shoulder pain significantly. She also encouraged me to learn to listen to my body and change my attitude towards the pain and healing. It's been such a transformative experience and I am very grateful to Claudia.

Claudia is an amazing teacher and person! I have been working with Claudia since March 2014. I started out to get her help with my chronic anxiety. To my surprise, within a few weeks of practicing yoga with her, I started to notice a distinct difference in my anxiety levels and general level of well being. Since then, I have made tremendous progress and continue to learn from her. Together with her expertise in yoga, Claudia also has in depth knowledge of  anatomy-physiology, the yoga sutras, meditation, and she incorporates them into the day to day practice. I feel blessed and honored to be working with her.

Claudia has helped me significantly in my recovery from lower back issues. She is knowledgeable about physiology, which helps her modify yoga postures so that they will help me without aggravating my lower back. But most importantly she is down to earth and easy to work with.

Claudia is a blessing. She incorporates healing energy and tenderness into the yoga sessions. She encourages me to gently challenge myself while remaining present to my breath, body and thoughts..

I benefited greatly from my work with Claudia during an intense period of medical recovery.
